Who Am I?
Why Do I Teach?
I am a sixth year teacher in a West Michigan middle school. I am also graduate student in Michigan State University's Master of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) program and will graduate in May 2016.
While I'm not teaching or studying, I enjoy parenting, running, and traveling. I am an avid runner and can often be found running local races or with local run groups. I am currently training for the 2016 Boston Marathon.
For me, teaching provides an opportunity for continual growth and learning. One of my goals as a 21st Century educator is to instill a love of learning and knowledge seeking in my students as I share my own passion for learning with them. One of my passions is educational technology. As I complete my Masters courses, I apply my acquired knowledge and skills directly to the classroom, integrating technology into the curriculum, professional learning communities, and putting it in the hands of learners.
